Set up pliddo in minutes

A practical setup guide for parents using pliddo to manage kids' Windows game time without turning every session into an argument.

Quick start

  1. Install pliddo on the Windows PC your child uses for games.
  2. Create or enter the parent/admin password.
  3. Let pliddo scan Desktop, Start Menu, Steam, and Epic Games shortcuts.
  4. Review the detected game list and add any missing .exe or .lnk files manually.
  5. Start with the default limits, then adjust them for your family's schedule.

Recommended defaults

Session limit

35 minutes per play session.

Cooldown

20 minutes before the next session.

Daily cap

70 minutes total playtime per day.

Rewards and chance cards

pliddo is designed around positive reinforcement. Parents can award bonus time for homework, outdoor play, chores, or family goals. Chance Cards can extend a session on special days, and parents can disable them when they do not fit the household rules.
